New Wheels, New Reach: The Hope Project Launches in Style!
16 Dec 2025
At The Pantry WA, we have always dreamed of reaching further. For some time now, a seed of an idea has been growing: The Hope Project. While The Pantry WA is a hub for many, we know there are members of our community who simply cannot leave their homes—the elderly, the unwell, and the most vulnerable.
Today, that "seed" has officially sprouted. We are thrilled to announce a new addition to our fleet: a Ford Ranger, ready to power The Hope Project, delivering our food hampers directly to the doorsteps of those who need them most.
It Takes a Village (and some amazing Partners!)
This project has moved from a dream to a reality because of an incredible outpouring of support. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our local partners who stepped up to fund this mission.
A massive shout-out and heartfelt thank you to:
Nuford Wangara: For not only giving us the best price possible on the Ranger but for their staggering $11,000 donation!
Commonwealth Bank: For an incredible $20,000 grant that provided the backbone for this launch.
Suzie McCracken (CommBank Warwick): A special thank you to Suzie for nominating us for the grant and believing in our vision.
We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to Disciple House, Tyrepower Wangara, Channel 9 Perth, and Harmon Transport. Your contributions have been vital in getting this project off the ground.
A Special Delivery
Our CEO, Bev Woolhouse, recently met with Suzie McCracken from CommBank Warwick to pick up the new Ranger. It was a moment of joy and excitement! Knowing that this vehicle represents a lifeline for people who feel forgotten is exactly why we do what we do.
